Life is funnier than ever with Gabriel getting smarter and smarter, and with him walking everywhere. I've been having fun trying to take pictures of the everyday things he does to put a smile on our faces. He is the funniest and smartest child I have ever seen.
Our funniest story is this one above I think. A few days ago, while David and I were just hanging out at home, Gabriel was playing on the stairs. I noticed he was chewing on something. I asked David what he was chewing on and he said it was a cracker he got from my diaper bag. However, after a closer look, we discovered that he had gone into the very bottom of my diaper bag and got my pack of gum out. Not only that, but he chewed his way into the pack in order to get a piece out. Haha. He was chewing on a piece of gum with the wrapper still on. Now, i'm not sure what's funnier. Gabriel chewing on gum or David thinking it was a cracker! The cute part to this story was when I gave Gabriel the evidence to take a picture wit. He posed with the cheesiest and proudest face. He was totally showing off his newest shenanigan!
Gabriel loves this little Giant's bat. He takes it everywhere around our house and does everything with it. Lately, Dave has been teaching him how to golf with it. He actually putts the balls with his little bat! He might just be a golfer in the making.
Dave works out every morning and Gabriel usually plays around and watches him. One morning, after he finished doing his perfect push ups, Gabriel walked right up to the two little push up thingies and started doing perfect push ups too! Dave couldn't get him in the actual position, this picture shows him just getting up from one of the push ups. If you notice, Gabriel even pulled the two push up thingies closer together to fit him, Dave didn't do that. What a crazy kid!
In these next couple of pictures Gabriel digs the stuff out of our cabinet and makes himself a little home. It was so cute finding him in it! I was washing the dishes next to him and didn't even notice him doing it, until I realized that Gabriel was gone!
Now this is also a super funny story. I'm going to sound like such a terrible mom. I had just finished feeding him lunch in our family room because I was really into the orange county house wifes episode. After I finished, I got him out of his feeding chair and locked his tray into the chair. He started playing with other stuff and I kept watching the tv show. Next thing I know, I hear Gabriel banging on the tray, and so I turned to look at him. He had gotten himself inside the chair and locked the tray down!! How the heck does a baby know how to do that??? I was completely in shock. Of course, I figured he was still hungry so I gave him a cracker and then took this picture to document the fun story. Can you believe he snapped himself in on his own!?
I took him out to play outside with his toy. Gabriel was in awe of the rocks on our driveway. He thought they were his treats. He would point to them, grab them and then try to eat them.
He totally works the control and bought a movie from On Demand the other day. Luckily it was nothing inappropriate. He ordered 500 Days of Summer.
He insisted on feeding himself one night. So I let him. These next few pictures show him feeding himself. He was totally showing off for the camera again.
All done! Look at that smile.

Everything else on our end is also great. David is working and taking another graduate class. I'm just staying at home enjoying life without ANY HOMEWORK or TESTS!! I have been a little busy lately though because I've been finishing my grad school application. Just turned it in today! Now i'm just working on doing a little decorating in our house. Which, I need LOTS of help in! Other than that, we're living La Vie en Rose. :-)
